Pure ink is a painting software wholly developed from the concept of Chinese ink art, and takes the role of a junction to digitize this traditional Asian culture for multimedia arts and industrial design in the 21st century. The software is strong in simulating realistic ink diffusion effects and brushwork of Chinese painting. Pure ink is open for public to use with an intention to promote digital ink art.

Interwoven: Wired Shanshui is a large scale installation. The plants made by copper wire grow up in front of a virtual landscape created by Pure ink and displayed through a large LED panel.

The very first exhibition about Pure ink. In this exhibition, four digital paintings done by Pure ink are printed, framed, and exhibited. Four animations generated by the ink diffusion system of Pure ink are also showcased.

about Pure ink
Pure ink is founded by ink painter and digital artist Chung-yu WONG (黃琮瑜) since 2020. The software was built based on an ink diffusion system that WONG developed for his digital art practices since 2007.
